Our families and children are active members of our communities, whether that’s the community groups in Bramley and North Leeds or on a Sunday morning. We are passionate about making Sundays enjoyable, engaging and accessible for all the family.
Our Sunday morning meetings always start with us celebrating birthdays, achievements, and special occasions. We normally then move into a time of worship. We want all ages to feel at home, so if little ones need to be up and about, please don’t worry.
After the first song, the children make their way to their activities. There’s a Youth Group, Kids Work and a creche. All offer a fun, welcoming and engaging space.
For instance, our Kids Work is for 4 to 11s and includes games, worship, drama, crafts, Bible stories, discussions and lots of other creative activities. Whilst we encourage children to join in with all of the fun, we understand that not every child will find it easy to access every activity. We therefore run several ‘stations’ within the same room so that children can choose an activity that they are comfortable with. We also have sensory toys that children can use to help them engage and enjoy themselves.
Keeping all our children and young people safe is of paramount importance. We have a detailed safeguarding policy, and all our Youth and Children’s Team are safely recruited, which means they are DBS checked, have references taken, and receive regular safeguarding training. If it’s your first time with us then we’ll ask you to complete a registration form and will show you were to go for the different activities.
If you would like to see a copy of our Safeguarding Policy, or discuss any concerns you have, please speak to our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Emma Hext.
